Jonathan Walmsley

Co-Founder, Managing Director – Australia

Jonathan heads up Marsden’s Australia division. He recruits lawyers at all levels in Australia and internationally, with a particular focus on lateral partners and senior lawyers. He has managed a number of successful office launches and partner team builds for Magic Circle and US firms.

 

The secret to Jonathan’s success is simple. He listens. By truly listening to clients’ needs and lawyers’ goals, he is able to make the right match. Hiring partners see Jonathan as a leading industry expert and a trusted adviser, hence his long-term relationships with a significant number of law firms nationally and internationally.

 

Jonathan began his career as a commercial property lawyer with what is now Wragge Lawrence Graham and then with what is now CMS. With over 20 years in legal recruitment, he can call on an extensive network of very senior connections around the world.
